
My Father, Mr. Huan Zhu
Mr. Huan Zhu is a violist of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra and a Principal
viola of the Butler County Symphony Orchestra. He received a Bachelor's degree at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China and received a Master's degree at Carnegie Mellon University. He was the principal viola of the Central Opera House Symphony Orchestra in Beijing, China. He won the auditions of the Shreveport
Symphony Orchestra in U.S and the Thounder
Bay Symphony Orchestra in Canada. He was the Violinist and Violist of the Pittsburgh McKeesport Symphony Orchestra, Westmoreland Symphony Orchestr, and Erie Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. Throughout his career, Mr. Huan Zhu is the founder, Music director, and conductor of the Pittsburgh Haihua Youth Orchestra. He has led the orchestra and performed around the world.
My Mother, Qing Zhang
Mrs. Qing Zhang is a cellist of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Butler County Symhpony Orchestra. She received a Bachelor's degree at the Central Concervatory of Music in Beijing, China, and received both Master's degree and an Artist Diploma at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. She was the cello soloist of the Central Opera House Symphony Orchestra and Army Orchestra in Beijing and was a member of the Pittsburgh McKeesport Symphony Orchestra, the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra, and Erie Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. She is also the cofounder and personal manager of the Pittsburgh Haihua Youth Orchestra. She, her husband Mr. Huan Zhu, and her son Alvin Zhu have performed for the communities and senior citizens every holiday for the past 8 years.
